The Work You'll Do

Everything is based in the Cloud nowadays. But everything quickly becomes nothing without successful systems on the back-end. Here at Sovos, we have millions of data transactions running through our systems every day. Without our robust, agile Cloud Operations, we would not be able to deliver our SaaS products - and would not be able to Solve Tax for Good. This is where you come in. As a Project Manager in the Tech PMO team, you will work across technical teams to drive completion of complex technical projects to ensure our Cloud infrastructure is secure, compliant, robust and scalable. You will develop project plans, timelines, and ensure progress-to-plan, actuals-to-budget as well as tracking and communicating critical project achievements. As the primary point of contact for the project, you will be responsible for providing regular project updates to all project stakeholders, as well as serving as the initial point of contact for all project-related escalations.

More specifically, you will:

* Manage all assigned projects to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, meeting of budgetary demands, and maintenance of overall project ownership
* Be responsible for managing the complete life cycle of projects, including initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing of projects to ensure planned results are achieved on time
* Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
* Responsible for planning and managing project resources effectively -- track and communicate team metrics and progress
* Create and deliver project communication materials for team members, leadership, and business partners for projects
* Develop positive relationships and share information with sponsors, leadership, team members and interfacing teams
* Achieve quality results by facilitating and driving effective team interactions and collaborative working sessions
* Document and track resolution of project issues, risks and change requests; Resolve and escalate issues, risks and change requests as appropriate
* Identify and remove impediments, prevent distractions that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver
* Act with integrity and demonstrates ethical behavior in all matters with all stakeholders
* Take full responsibility for ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction
* Demonstrate initiative, drive and determination to achieve results, success and growth
* Develop trust and models open, candid, respectful communication and collaborative teamwork
* Demonstrate a high degree of self-awareness and commitment to personal development and learning

What we are looking for from you:

* Experience managing projects in software/professional services company
* Excellent communication (verbal and written), analytic and problem solving skills; sound business acumen and executive presence
* Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and work assignments concurrently
* Strong time management, organizational and decision-making skills
* Ability to interact with colleagues at all levels and foster healthy and productive project team dynamics
* Strong meeting facilitation, training and written communication skills
* Aptitude for quickly grasping new technical concepts and to evaluate a situation and understand how and why it works the way it does and how it could be improved
* Detail???oriented and ability to work collaboratively in a deadline???driven environment
* Ability to identify and address potential roadblocks before they are able to affect the team's progress
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc..) and familiarity with JIRA/Confluence
* Essential Job Functions:
