JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for ensuring the proper performance of theMASH department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist supervisor with proper staffing of department.
  • Providing work direction and training to all CDHC employees.
  • Assuring all products are within grade and meets quality specifications (following standard work).
  • Performing routine line tours to ensure equipment and line is running efficiently.
  • Ensure paperwork and data input into the computer system (SAP) is accurate.
  • Thorough understanding of positions with-in the CDHC department.
  • Assuring proper documentation and accuracy of all testing and measurements.
  • Manage and perform mini PM on Multi-vacs
  • Manage and participate in mini cleans
  • Effectively communicating relevant information to fellow employees on the shift and to on-coming employees at shift change.
  • General cleaning of equipment and maintaining good housekeeping throughout the department per the daily sanitation checklist.
  • Perform CIP duties as assigned.
  • Relief for breaks
  • Relief for Supervisor (vacations, sick, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.

    EXPERIENCE:

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers/vendors or employees of the organization.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
  • Standing for long periods of time.
