Summary/Objective As the Financial Analyst with Viking Engineering & Development, you will perform and coordinate the development, tracking, reporting and analysis of financial and operational information and metrics. The role entails working with data, analyzing and deriving meaningful information to assist in decision making. They will partner with the Controller, Senior Accountant, CEO and business leaders to develop metrics and KPI's and build tools/models to influence decision making and strategies. The employee may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, and hours of work/days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.TravelThere is no travel for this position.Required Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; or equivalent work experience and knowledgeThree years of experience in private accounting, preferably in an analysis rolePublic accounting experience (i.e. audit) would be beneficialStrong knowledge of Excel and AccessStrong analytical skills with ability to utilize pivot tables and V-lookups as neededStrong organizational skills, as well as verbal and written communication skillsFlexibility in work schedule with ability to work longer days during month end close and other busier timesSoftware ExperienceMicrosoft Office Suite Outlook, Word, and PowerPointHigh level of Excel knowledge required Microsoft Access preferredOther DutiesOther duties may be assigned as positions grows
