Entry Level Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Entry Level Maintenance TechnicianJob Description: This position is entry level and is perfect for a hands on person who wants to learn building and machine maintenance. The tasks will be monitored but you will be independent and play a major role in our building and machine preventative maintenance program.Responsibilities:Responsible for the servicing and general routine maintenance of the building and equipment under the supervision of leads and managersDetermine the need for repairs to machinery and equipment, requisition needed parts, and plan for and complete the needed repairs. Lubricate machines or equipment as needed.Clean machines and perform general preventative maintenanceAssist with the installation of new machines.Maintain building and surrounding grounds.Use all proper safety devices (Lock out tag out) Maintain a constant alert for hazardous conditions and correct them or bring them to the attention of the department lead person.Maintain compliance to documented procedures.Requirements:High School or vocational school graduate required.Minimum of 1 year experience using hand tools.Basic machine shop and mechanical skills.Basic computer skills.Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and independently.Good interpersonal skills required; will work with all levels of company including customers.Demonstrated excellent attendance record.English reading and writing, ability to complete written forms and read basic written instructions. Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to use your hands in a skillful, coordinated way to grasp and manipulate objects and demonstrate small, precise movements. Must be able to extend arms to place and remove products in workspace. Required to stand for 8 hours or more.Must lift 50lbs or more.Must have 20/30 vision or better, and/or have corrective glasses to meet this requirement. Ability to work in hot environment that may be reach to 100 degrees or higher.Ability to work in very loud and noisy work environment.Must wear Personal Protective Equipment which includes, designated uniform, steel toe shoes, gloves, ear plugs, safety glasses, and face mask.
