Minco has an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Technician with an electrical/mechanical background to join our Maintenance department. In this role, you will perform complex technical work, working across skilled trade areas, focusing on system improvement and providing work direction to co-workers. You will work closely with our manufacturing leaders and staff, and what you do will have an important impact on the company. Responsibilities

* Perform a variety of maintenance on parts, pumps, presses, motors, systems, and related production equipment; exhibit a working knowledge of multiple skilled trade areas, such as electronics, electrical, HVAC, telecommunications, hydraulics, compressed air systems, plumbing, pipefitting, and related areas.
* Install, program, maintain, troubleshoot and repair machines and equipment in our facilities, focusing on Temperature controllers/PLCs and computer based logic.
* Serve as an expert in troubleshooting and diagnosing problems and performing maintenance in a significant number of equipment families.
* Work with internal customers to provide system and process improvement, recommends changes to current machinery or processes, and update operations.
* Complete work orders and paperwork regarding daily maintenance and repair duties; may review the work or documentation of other maintenance staff on projects.
* Assist with inspecting the plant and related facilities for mechanical and equipment problems, review and examine areas, and determine appropriate action(s); assist with the selection and direction provided to contractors.
* Read and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals; develop methods and requirements to repair and maintain equipment; adapt methods where appropriate; provide assistance to other staff to understand requirements.
* Ensure compliance with OSHA and Minco operating policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment and efficient operations.
* Utilize tools, materials, and equipment according to safety and operational principles and practices; may handle and label hazardous waste or materials based on area of assignment.
* Communicate with production, quality control, warehousing, and other departments to maintain a safe and effective environment and to ensure quality products.
* Serve as a lead to staff to include assigning and monitoring work, training and providing direction.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* Five plus years of technical and advanced controls experience and/or related experience in a manufacturing environment.
* High school graduate or equivalent education and experience.

Additional Qualifications:

* Minimum of three years of experience Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) highly preferred.
* Completion of an Apprenticeship or Associates degree is preferred.
* A working knowledge of temperature controllers/ PLCs and computer based logic.
* An expert understanding of multiple skilled trade areas such as electronics, electrical, HVAC, telecommunications, hydraulics, compressed air systems, plumbing, pipefitting, and related areas.
* Reading, interpreting, and adapting blueprints, manuals, specifications, and documentation.
* Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment failure and problems.
* Operating power tools, equipment, and machinery in areas of specialization.
* Ability to prioritize, assign work and train others, as needed.
* Ability to communicate with other departments to solve process and operational problems.
* Ability to handle and label hazardous materials based on area of assignment.
* A strong track record of ensuring compliance with applicable safety and operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
* Understanding of basic PC skills, such as data entry and operation.
* Ability to follow through with commitments and assignments as well as meet deadlines.
* Ability to work with a team as well independently.
* A strong track record of continuous improvement.
* Willingness to wear safety, sanitary, and related equipment or gear as appropriate.

This position is a regular full-time position located in our headquarters in Fridley, Minnesota.
