Use your sharp technical, analytical, and data visualization skills in conjunction with your MicroStrategy design skills to assist in end-to-end Executive reporting capability growth. You will support an Executive reporting capability including activities and project implementation efforts related to key performance indicators across various OptumCare Care Delivery Organizations (CDOs). Diagnose process improvement opportunities and develop solutions using principles of process excellence and related tools. Responsibilities include interacting with senior leaders across OptumCare Call, Claim, and Prior Authorization to develop a deep understanding of their business and metrics to foster a consultative relationship in advancing an Executive reporting dashboard.You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities: Create complex business requirements based on customer requests and process competency Review business requirements with customers and obtain sign off Build requirements into the MicroStrategy data visualization application Work closely with the Implementation/Project Team to identify risks early Partner with project team to track and understand defects; Assume accountability and/or ownership to work defect through to resolution Continuously identify, develop, and drive "current state" process improvement opportunities through customer knowledge, data analysis, system functionality, etc. Maintain system(s) integrity through focused administrative analysis/updates, content interruptions, upgrades, etc. Ability to explain technical issues in words the customer/project team will understand Communicate with overall project team & business partners in a timely manner to define improvement opportunities, requirements, and deliverables that drive performance and cost optimization Ensure all internal documentation/project plans are kept current based on progress and/or successful task completion Validate technical system specifications meet business requirements Champion privacy and security for all systems, data, and information Design, drive, and facilitate educational sessions Deliver timely and effective end-user technical assistance and troubleshooting Self-directed - able to initiate projects independently; Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet deadlines Successful time/project management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Administration, Information Systems, Computer Sciences, or equivalent work experience 3+ years success in designing and maintaining a MicroStrategy capability across production, stage, development environments Working knowledge of MicroStrategy relational databases and database structures Experience administering, implementing, and developing content in MicroStrategy (IE building attributes, formulas, metrics, reports, dashboards, workflows) Experience collecting and writing business and/or system requirements Proven ability to successfully communicate with stakeholders across a matrixed environment Experience leading customer discovery, design, and presentation sessions Experience with MS SQL and/or SQL queries (IE Develop MS SQL Server queries for data extraction, reporting, root cause analysis) Experience navigating, maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting design elements (IE Data temporality, database schema, accuracy/quality of source data, user interface) Preferred Qualifications: MicroStrategy certification credentials (IE Architect, Database, System, Mobile) Experience with SQL tools such as SQL management studio, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, etc. Experience performing data conversions (ETL) from multiple data sources, develop necessary SQL for loading/updating and maintaining data tables Proven documenting processes and practices, often in accepted project methodology artifacts, while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks Proven ability to work independently and cross-functionally with a focus on developing strong working relationships while managing multiple priorities Experience communicating complex technical concepts to customers, who may be non-technical thinkers, so that collaborative solutions can be developed Excellent written and oral communication skills; experienced presentation skills; strong collaboration skills Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint Proven ability to troubleshoot technical type issues Careers with Optum.
