Job Summary

Summary: A Bon Appetit cook is knowledgeable of various cooking techniques, has a passion for scratch-farm to table cooking, works clean, is a leader in all aspects of adhering to logs, composting/recycling waste not ethos, and is focused on quality food. Ultimately, an exceptional line cook should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Completes and follows daily production lists, temperature logs, and waste logs
• Prepares items on production sheets using established recipes and production standards to ensure consistency in quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Tastes completed meals or recipes with one other member of the team to ensure quality.
• Works well as a part of team and is willing to jump in and help out in every aspect of the kitchen from prep, line cooking, cleaning and dishes
• Operates and cleans equipment per proper procedures after every use.
• Stores, labels and dates all food items according to policy and follows food safety guidelines.
• Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Customer interaction required, cooks take orders from customer and prepare items quickly.
• Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
• Completing orders may require servile from multiple stations.
• Resolves customer concerns to best of ability if not able do not hesitate to ask a manager to help.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Prepares food and serves customers in accordance with applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
