Job Description

Summary: This role provides support to all employees on Payroll, pension and 401k related matters and ensures that HR process, policies and procedures are completed in a timely and correct manner.

Essential Functions
  • Complete all payroll activities on a bi-weekly basis employees
  • Provide detailed payroll, pension and 401k reports to finance
  • Keep track of employee related information in collaboration with local HR and HR Shared Services
  • Support Line Managers and local HR with payroll, pension and 401k related questions
  • Compile and process reporting for pension and 401k provider
  • Compile and process funding requests for union related membership fees and pension contributions
  • Administer employee requests for pension requests in collaboration with pension provider
  • Audit and process invoicing from pension and 401k partners
  • Support with 401k, pension and payroll related audits
  • This role has access to personal and sensitive information and the position holder must agree to the companies confidentiality agreement
  • This role is part-time working approximately 20 hours per week
Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must currently be enrolled in and completed at least 2+ years of an accredited Human Resources degree program OR have 2+ years of payroll experience
  • Must have a minimum of 2+ years experience with pension/401K administration
Preferred Qualifications
  • Payroll/ HR system knowledge - ADP knowledge is preferable
  • Understanding of payroll codes, taxable and non-taxable income, and implications as it relates to pay
  • Experience reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Ability to create reports in excel using formulas, pivot tables and v-look-ups
  • Good Interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimal line management
  • Work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Hands-on approach whilst being able to flexibly adapt to changing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT skills
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
