Bringing value to our clients is what we do best and seeing them succeed is our ultimate goal.Position Overview:The BerganKDV Audit Supervisor works to provide excellent audit preparation, review and ancillary services in all client engagements including direct client involvement and relationship building. They will seek opportunities for growth and mentorship and be an active participant in firm initiatives. The Audit Supervisor will perform audit and other accounting engagements that exceed client expectations, manage client risk and utilize effective communication with clients and firm personnel. The Supervisor will assume responsibility for performing all aspects of client engagements and supervision of Associates and Senior Associates on those engagements. They will work closely with the client's finance team and keep them apprised of any issues identified during the audit, cascading messages between the client, associate, and manager. Responsibilities:Plans, supervises, and reviews all levels of engagements. Applies and maintains advanced accounting standards and education, including GASB/FASB pronouncements. Effectively follows instruction and meets time budgets and deadlines for assigned areas, projects and overall assignments by utilizing available associates. Develops recommendations that reflect an understanding of client's expectations, industry and business (e.g. goals, key success factors, strategy for competition); while adhering to client confidentiality standards.Conducts technical research to substantiate, challenge or remedy client position related to accounting, auditing, tax or industry issues.Builds authentic relationships with clients through all interactions. Works to identify areas where BerganKDV can further their business and goals. Actively seeks opportunities to join business development meetings with the goal to build strong relationships and drive new client projects and revenue. Explore industry specialization and industry focused service. This may include attending peer group meetings or industry organization involvement.Be a resource for other members of the audit team. This may include technical training and providing feedback on client engagements. Support the growth and professional development of yourself and your BerganKDV teammates by participating in company sponsored trainings, CPE courses, internal committees, and mentorship opportunities.
