Engineering Technician

Engineering Technician is responsible for Estimating, Purchasing, and Designing Metal Building packages for the fabrication of Commercial and Agricultural Projects. Specific building types include Custom design and MBS (Metal Building Systems), secondary structural and sheeting. Company will train successful candidate in each building-specific software system including but not limited to Metal Building Software (MBS).

Successful candidate will be well versed in verbal and written communications and fluent with computers, including specific experience with MS Office and BlueBeam at a minimum. Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit beneficial but not required. Candidate should have great attention to detail and be able to manage workloads that require deadlines. Prior knowledge of MBS software is a plus but not required.

Candidates should present a minimum 2-year associates degree in Engineering Technology or BS degree in Civil Engineering. Coursework should include statistics and mechanics of materials. Additionally, experience in a related field as a CAD systems operator, Engineering Specialist, Civil Engineering Technician, Engineer CAD tech, or Estimator/Project Manager will be beneficial to the position.

Engineering Technician will report to our VP AgriSteel and work directly with sales and fulfillment teams regularly. Duties will include Estimating, Material ordering, Project Management, Design, and generation of Fabrication and Erection drawings, and developing and maintaining relationships with key building vendor personnel.
