Riley Construction Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Shop Manager to join our team in Kenosha, WI. The Shop Manager assists the shop with duties and provides general technology support as it relates to the field.Responsibilities:Ensures weekly that the Daily logs for all job sites are accurate and detailed. Helps to train, develop and mentor the field on the importance of record keeping and will help coordinate and assist Operations in training employees not meeting standards. Ensures organization, management, and training of the Hilti on Track Application and its impact to the business.Assist the General Superintendent with ordering and scheduling of materials and equipment to various job sites as the job requires. Coordinates shop purchases for material management according to the department needs. Maintains a Purchase Order log and tracks outside invoice status. Reconciles invoices for payment and processes invoices to accounting department. Collaborates with field personnel to identify and bring forward new/ critical products and services to our clients (AAR Team leader for Operations) Monitors appropriate controls to ensure processes and procedures are performed in a compliant manner and develop appropriate dashboards, metrics and measures to identify ongoing areas for improvement across all facets of the procurement operation.Coordinates all operational procurement activities, directly manage the systems (Hilti or other), processes and procedures governing the procurement of materials from the right suppliers, at the right price, quality and delivery requirements to support the business.Cultivate and promote diverse supplier relationships. Monitor and update overall manpower look aheads/needsReview and process equipment reporting to accounting from field leaders monthlyManage all equipment needs of the field leadersAbility to self-organize, prioritize and schedule work assignments Analyze Equipment inventory monthly, analyze equipment usage yearly, put payback calculations together with help from Accounting, strategically and tactically convert equipment into profitWorks with minimal supervision and may be assisted by entry and intermediate level employees.Will train and help to provide employee development as requested by General Superintendent, HR, And VP of Operations Manager Responsible for shop cleanliness and organizationPerforms other duties as assigned by the General Superintendent Requirements:BA/BS College Degree or at least 5 years in similar construction positionGood PC / software knowledge/skills.Interpersonal Skills -Candidate should have the ability to cooperate with people of varying levels both inside/outside the organization and interact with the team to establish and achieve team goals and objectives.Leadership-Candidate should have the ability to empower others to achieve results through professional motivation, recognition and performance feedback. Communication - Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to express information/ideas in a professional manner to varying levels of people and customers. Strong English skills required.Possesses solid analytical and problem-solving abilitiesDemonstrates awareness off all health and safety protocolsManages time efficiently Demonstrates strong organizational skills Basic Math skills
