Police Officer

Minimum Requirements:Associates/Technical degree with coursework in law enforcement, criminal justice, or related field with certifications and licensure; Previous experience, training, or higher education is preferred.Minnesota Peace Officer License or the eligibility to be licensed.Minnesota Class D Driver's license or equivalent.First Aid, CPR and Deliberator certification; firearm, radar and pursuant driving training. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with departmental personnel, other law enforcement agencies, associates and the general public.Ability to handle stress & remain in control at all times.Knowledge of and ability to use a personal computer and associated software; effectively apply generally accepted law enforcement methods related to the prevention, detection and suppression of criminal activity.Pass agility test, criminal history investigation and department psychological evaluation; no felony convictions.
