HDR needs a Utility Management Consultant to join our Water Business Group team in Minneapolis, MN.
The primary duties of the Utility Management Consultant includes working with project managers/senior consultants to perform specialized engineering consulting services in areas that may include utility management/asset management, business process assessments, strategic planning, operations optimization, regulatory support, system conveyance, master planning, technology selection/on-boarding, data management/visualization, or financial planning and utility rates.

Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Project Manager Engineering, well count on you to
Implement a range of best management practices with water, wastewater, and/or stormwater utilities including asset management and maintenance management best practices.
Provide technical support for the implementation of Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to support a water, wastewater, or stormwater utility.
Perform analysis of large utility maintenance management systems, and/or condition assessment databases to support inspection, condition assessment, and planning programs.
Expected to perform database assessments and analysis, GIS analysis, computer programming, and/or desire to implement information systems and technology solutions to support infrastructure planning.
Ideal candidate should have experience with planning and implementation of infrastructure inspection and condition assessment programs; planning and implementation of asset management strategies for utilities.
Will be able to lead project or tasks associated with business process analysis, workshop facilitation and data warehouse design.
Expected to direct production staff and perform client management activities to support our South Atlantic based team.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related technical discipline required.
MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related technical discipline a plus.
Requires 5+ years of experience in water and/or wastewater utility operation or related engineering
Experience with software requirement gathering and development, selecting business information system solutions and software implementation.
Requires excellent communication, business skills, team building, and project team skills. Strong computer skills with CMMS experience (Oracle WAM, Maximo, Hansen, EMPAC, GBA MS, Asteca Cityworks); GIS experience (ESRI, Small Work, Intergraph), and other various database type platforms.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile and present summary level information.
Ability to obtain, cleanse, merge and analyze data from multiple sources.
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong relationship, organizational and follow-up skills.
Self-starter with proven track record of accomplishments.
