The Admissions Operations and Events Manager position supports all functions related recruitment, admissions, and the enrollment processes for The Humphrey School of Public Affairs (HHH). This position works closely with HHH Stakeholders and The Graduate School to implement and maintain data systems, troubleshoots, and provides guidance to HHH faculty and staff members. This position provides data analysis reports and maintains its integrity. The Admissions Operations and Events Manager plans and participates in recruiting events andongoing initiatives. This position also leads, in coordination with the Director of Admissions, the development and implementation of the Humphrey School's PPIA Junior Summer Institute (JSI) Fellowship Program. The Program is a rigorous academic graduate level preparation program for undergraduate juniors committed to public service careers. The Program was started to address the lack of diversity across the spectrum of professional public service, including government, nonprofits, public policy institutions, and international organizations. The purpose of the JSI Fellowship is to prepare students to obtain a master's or joint degree, in public policy, public administration, international affairs, or a related field. Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs PPIA Junior Summer Institute Operations 50%??? Develop the strategy for data oversight and maintenance which includes data import & export, process improvement, and general inquiries.??? Analyze admissions trends using various software and reports. For example, Funnel, Class Profile, and Technolutions Slate.??? Process oversight of the application process (i.e., checklists, reader bins, completion documents, etc.); evaluation and process improvement expert.??? Provide support with merit aid application and distribution (i.e., notification letters via Slate, etc.), when necessary.??? Communications lead and point of contact for all prospective student leads. This includes developing targeted emails and website updates, in collaboration with the Communication team.??? Liaison to The Graduate School for items regarding admission processes, annual updates, and project implementation.??? Ensure accurate new student checklists and coordinate with Student Services as it relates to new student matriculation.??? Direct the payment of admissions invoices; payment reconciliation and maintain admissions and JSI budgets.??? Office management which includes student staff supervision, supplies inventory, and admissions office oversight.Events 40%??? Develop strategy for recruiting prospective students and yield events (i.e., Fall Preview Day(s), Spring Visit Day(s), Information Sessions) in coordination with Admissionscolleagues.??? Produce and represent admissions and HHH at recruitment and yield events; assess outcome and implement changes, when appropriate.??? Analyze data for all recruitment, admissions, and enrollment (i.e., surveys, communications, etc.) and make recommendations for improvement/changes, whenappropriate.??? Lead administrator and oversight of logistics and facilitation of the PPIA Junior Summer Institute (JSI) Fellowship Program. This includes: developing and managing logistics related timeline, budget development, travel, housing, stipends, books, supplies, plan and lead co-curricular activities and field trips.??? Manage all communications with Fellows, program faculty, guest speakers, etc.??? Manage planning and development of processes to support the Program. Special Projects and Assignments 10%??? Research, strategize and lead implementation of Admissions Equity and Inclusion initiatives, in concert with Director and Admissions Program Manager.??? Research, strategize new recruitment initiatives, in collaboration with Director and Admissions Program Manager.??? Participate in School working groups and committees. Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience, or a combination of related education and workexperience to equal 6 years in Student Affairs, Event Management, or similar.??? Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and GoogleWorkplace; ability to learn and practice new software quickly.??? 2 years' experience collaborating with colleagues for program, event, and project planning andimplementation.??? 2 years' experience working in a fast-paced work environment.??? Demonstrated experience planning small and large events, tracking logistics, budget oversight,communication and follow up, including event/project execution.??? Fluent in reading, speaking and writing in English; excellent interpersonal and professionalwritten communication.??? Proven ability to work efficiently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and stay focused during peakperiods of high-volume workload.??? Previous work expectation and responsibility for maintaining confidentiality of records andinformation.Preferred Qualifications??? A minimum of 2 years' experience public speaking in front of small and large audiences.??? A minimum of 2 years' experience strategic planning in a program, unit or organization.??? A minimum of 1-year experience training others on software, data, and office procedures.??? Strong customer service skills and a demonstrated customer service orientation.??? Experience reviewing admissions applications and providing consultation.??? High-level skill with Zoom or Skype, GoToMeeting, and WebEx.??? Experience and competency with Technolutions Slate and/or enrollment-related software.??? Experience working in higher education and understanding the issues facing higher educationand admission best practices. Ideal candidate will be able to:???
