Graphic Designer - Full Time

Lakewood Health System is seeking to hire a full-time Graphic Designer.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an outstanding full-time graphic and content designer, who is creative, energetic, socially intuitive, collaborative, self-motivated, and has an interest in applying their talents in healthcare. Our ideal candidate is someone who specializes in creating engaging designs that inform, educate, connect, and motivate audiences. This is a full time position at 40 hours per week. Position requires 2 days per week onsite at Lakewood's main campus in Staples with remote working options available for the rest of the week. Flexibility is also required to assist with special events as needed throughout the year.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with director and in-house marketing team to identify and consistently implement innovative/creative marketing strategies.
• Produce high quality, dynamic designs for digital media, social media, print, web, and other marketing mediums. You will be responsible for developing original concepts and executing established creative approaches across all mediums.
• Act as in-house photographer for Lakewood and support system special events through video and photography as needed.
• Manage digital library including professional photography, stock images, logos and more.
• Design and manage print resources for corporate brand and properties.
• Manage vendor partnerships for outsourcing of print projects, photography, and branded products.
• Continue to develop innovative design skills through use of networks, resources, and education opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Excellent people skills with the ability to serve as an effective communicator during projects to ensure proper execution and adherence to creative vision,
• Understand the latest multimedia production techniques and how to leverage them; self-motivated to seek out and apply new abilities.
• Excellent grasp of trending design and ability to stretch creatively with each new project while adhering to the integrity of the brands and company objectives.
• Ask great questions, listen to internal and external client needs and goals, and actively bring relevant ideas to the table while building enthusiasm.
• Proven ability to organize, schedule, and manage projects under deadline without missing details.
• Self-starter, organized, and able to prioritize projects and workflow based on business needs.
• Strong typography, color/font selection, and photo editing skills.
• Experience in designing for social media and digital campaigns a plus.
• Capable of articulating and presenting creative ideas and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Desire to work in a collaborative, flexible, corporate environment.
• Problem-solver who proactively seeks out answers to questions and doesn't have to wait to be told what to do.
• Assist with/help support special events as needed by the department/system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, multimedia art, digital art, video production, or a related field or equivalent certificate/work experience.
• Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Experience in video and editing, including knowledge of Premiere Pro, is a plus for this position.
• Proficient skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
