Position PurposeThe Truterra Senior Portfolio Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of Truterra's portfolio of ecosystem market credits. This includes providing leadership and working in collaboration with other members of the Truterra Leadership Team to:Develop portfolio strategy and funding approach including potential pre-purchase of creditsDevelop risk management strategy and approachesDevelop strategy for premium/sustainable grain offering or claim for food and ag customersExplore options to develop credits based on potential offtake and customer segments (e.g. "Renewable Ag Credits" for electricity power generators to decarbonize/offset fossil fuel-powered grids)Align credits and value chain claims with requirements of relevant certification bodies including registries. Evaluate tradeoffs and develop strategy to achieve commercial scale, manage risk, and secure desired market position with growers and downstream customersDevelop and facilitating training of Truterra team members on portfolio approach, risk management, and carbon market requirements including monitoring/reporting/verification. Extend training to other stakeholders in Land O'Lakes and relevant partners as requiredExperience-Education (Required):??? 20+ years of experience in commodity, energy, or sustainability markets including experience in trading or risk management within the food/ag/CPG/sustainability industry??? 4-year college degree (Bachelor's)Competencies-Skills (Required):??? Self-starting, goal directed with proven ability to achieve results through self and others??? Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, persuasive skills??? Experience engaging with and influencing senior executives internally and externally, including customer counterparts at multiple levels with large, multinational corporate customers??? In-depth knowledge of agriculture industryPreferred Qualifications: ??? Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Environmental sustainability, or related field??? Experience in sustainability or ecosystem credit markets???
