As a Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing, reviewing and reporting data related to HEDIS?? measure rate reporting. You'll be expected to interpret and analyze large amounts of data from multiple sources and use it to tell a meaningful story. This position will conduct analysis and comparison of HEDIS?? reporting data, as well as troubleshooting data anomalies sourced from multiple platforms. This position will be expected to command an understanding of data processing software applications and warehouse storage environments. All work supports Commercial, Medicare & Medicaid quality improvement programs. This position reports to the Manager, QVSD Quality Reporting Operations

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Must be able to work during Eastern or Central time zone business hours.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • QA/analysis of large data sets used for reporting and QA/analysis of subsequent deliverables
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding rate results, data completeness/quality and review member/provider specific concerns. Identify and trouble-shoot anomalies in production process and subsequent deliverables
  • Develop solutions and process efficiencies to improve delivery times, quality and completeness
  • Gather and document requirements from the client/business while focused on process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and/or evaluation of business processes
  • Communicate analysis including trends and opportunities to clients and the business in writing and verbally to solve complex business problems while negotiating multiple daily priorities
  • Work with relational databases, database structures and SLQ queries on a daily basis
  • Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
  • Develop & produce ad-hoc reports

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of demonstrated and recent experience reading/writing medium to complex SQL queries
  • 2+ years of experience and working knowledge in healthcare data analysis related to quality reporting and metrics
  • Health care industry experience with claims, member or provider data
  • Experience with HEDIS?? and/or Clinical Measures and related technical specifications/requirements
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Excel
  • Excellent communication, time/project management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Tableau, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS or equivalent)
  • Exposure to Big Data environments
  • Advanced level of proficiency in MS Excel
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Transact SQL

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
