Polysomnographic Tech - .9 FTE, Weekends

Watertown Regional Medical Center is seeking a Polysomnographic Tech - Full Time, Night shift, weekends only. The Polysomnographic Tech is responsible for meeting the needs of internal and external Hospital customers and supporting the department by providing a variety of cardiopulmonary clinical services. Will set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment. The Polysomnographic Technologist also performs and scores polysomnograms, does family and patient education. The Polysomnographic technologist provides staff direction and technical expertise in this area. They also represent the manager in day-to-day operations including scheduling and training staff and students, interprets procedures and ensures daily operations are maintained. The Polysomnographic technologist acts as a role model and a conduit between department leadership and the work team. The Polysomnographic technologist makes decisions to perform respiratory therapy modalities in a safe and effective way with quality that reflects a thorough knowledge, in accordance with hospital standards and policies.

Qualifications

Associates Degree Required
Certified CPSGT at hire or within 6 month of hire.

Registered RPSGT at hire or within 18 months or hire

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or (CRTT), preferred. CPR (AHA Healthcare Provider) at hire or within 60 days
Effective communication and interpersonal skills and behaviors.
Relates to patients and peers to develop and maintain effective work/patient relationships.
