Safety Coordinator

Pro Staff is currently hiring for Safety Coordinators with our premier client Shutterfly, located in Shakopee.
Schedules available:
Night shift Monday -Wednesday 5pm - 5am and every other Thursday
Weekend night shift Friday - Sunday 5pm- 5am and every other Thursday

Job Summary:
This is a temporary position and will work with the EHS team to help ensure that the safety program is sustained and adhered to. This includes conducting on-site inspections, facilitating specialized safety training, conducting safety orientations and drive employee engagements using the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) elements.
Responsibilities:

• Provides safety training/orientation for new temporary staffing associates, SDSonline training, PPE, COVID Preparedness, others as needed)
• Conduct daily & monthly safety audit inspections of the production and maintenance activities relative to OSHA Standards to help detect accident and health hazards.
• Assist with risk assessments and accident/incident investigations to obtain the root cause and ensures corrective actions are implemented to prevent re-occurrence.
• Create daily Passdowns to inform production of their findings, work with production to improve hazards and follow up.
• Observe and communicate to management safety concerns and observations
• Assist in delivering other EHS related Compliance trainings
• Review and assist with Incident Investigation, Root Cause and Corrective Actions follow up.
• Supports and promotes safe practices and environmental best practices in alignment with the company policies and compliance requirements.
• Help drive successful employee engagement programs.
• Perform special projects assigned by EHS Manager.

Skills and Attributes Needed:

• Knowledge of regulatory compliance laws for the general industry
• Exhibits passion, integrity and responsibility for safety of all individuals
• Ability to conduct safety training
• Ability to recognize and abate hazards
• Able to work independently on projects and collaboratively as a team member
• Strong computer skills to be able to utilize MS office products (Word, Excel) and IPad
• Strong interpersonal/communication & analytical skills and able to work effectively with others
• Must have hard work ethic, ability to learn quickly, and common sense.
• Ability to multitask and set priorities
• First Aid, CPR and AED (desirable)
• OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour (desirable)
• Experience working with VPP programs is a plus
• Self-motivated
