Summary

This position is part of the WAPA-UGP-Upper Great Plains, Department Of Energy. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will be working with the Upper Great Plains Maintenance organization.

Responsibilities

The incumbent serves as the expert Upper Great Plains (UGP) Region, Management and Program Analyst under the Director of Transmission and Construction. The incumbent supports the Maintenance Organization, Engineering and Construction Office as a Management & Program Analyst and liaison with Management by managing and evaluating the effectiveness of key programs and making authoritative recommendations associated with these programs. The incumbent is the primary point of contact for multiple programs/projects requiring coordination, facilitating, and cooperation among numerous functional areas throughout the UGP and other Western Area Power Administration Regions, Headquarters, as well as both Internal and External customers.

Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as the ability to analyze functions and processes related to long range planning programs and resources. Plan and conduct studies to identify and evaluate issues or problems affecting a specific program area, project or procedure. Use knowledge of program management processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of programs or projects. Advise and provide guidance to resolve, implement, and manage program or policy issues.
