The Investment Operations team within Wells Fargo Asset Management has responsibility for the day to day business management of the firm's business functions and processes.

Responsibilities in this role may include:

  • Function as primary liaison for post-trade confirmation of trade details with brokers, ensuring that all executed trades result in the issuance of a broker trade confirmation for each account allocation
  • Function as primary liaison for communication of trade allocation details to custodians and other interested parties
  • Effectively interact with securities traders, brokers and custodian banks to coordinate timely resolution of complex trade problems
  • Determine the cause of mis-matched trades between brokers and custodians and work with the appropriate party to bring the trade details into agreement
  • Coordinate cancel/re-books with traders
  • Ensure that all issues necessary for successful settlement are resolved
  • Identify, research and resolve failed trades
  • Establish effective relationships with team members, portfolio managers, traders, brokers and custodians


Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of investment operations experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Customer service focus with experience actively listening, eliciting information, comprehending customer issues/needs, and recommending solutions
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of cash (domestic and international and physical securities (DTC) settlements)
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of US commodity, equity, and interest rate markets
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Ability to review and understand ISDA Master and Credit Support Annex agreements
  • Ability to learn and assimilate information from multiple people and sources
  • Effective organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment



Other Desired Qualifications
  • 5+ years of institutional investment, securities settlement/investment operations experience, or securities trading experience
  • Working knowledge of the Charles River order management system, Bloomberg, and Omgeo post-trade processing applications
  • Familiarity with processing various types of repo instruments, FX trades, and securities that settle in foreign markets
  • Strong working knowledge of buy-side fixed income securities settlement, financial instruments and markets
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to make quick and accurate decisions
  • Ability to interact effectively with peers and external parties in a fast-paced, high-risk environment and under extreme deadline pressure
  • BA/BS or related work experience
