The Pantagraph is seeking an ambitious reporter to cover Bloomington municipal government in Central Illinois.
This reporter will own this important beat and make the decisions of government relevant to our growing audience on all platforms. Reporting ranges from quick-turn enterprise pieces to long-range, deep dives on trends and issues important to our readers.
Experience with alt. stories, multimedia storytelling and social media are crucial, as is a background in records requests and understanding municipal budgets. This position includes some general assignment work, as well as occasional weekend shifts.
