Ahern, one of the leading mechanical and fire protection contractors in the United States, has an exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineer to be based ideally out of our Appleton location but open to our Fond du Lac, Madison or Milwaukee locations for the right candidate. How you will contribute:

This will be the first Engineer at Ahern that is dedicated specifically for structural work. In this exciting role, you will serve as the subject matter expert and create building standards and developing this function. This position will support our Industrial Services, Pipe Fabrication and Mechanical groups. You will work closely with our Shop Managers and CAD teams to engineer stands for equipment, racks, tanks, platforms for skidding equipment and other related products. You will be challenged to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven and collaborative environment.

What you need to qualify:

This position requires you to have your Professional Engineering stamp for structural engineering. To succeed in this role, you must have the drive and capability to develop this function from the ground up. Outstanding communication skills required. You can stand out above other candidates by demonstrating the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service, maintaining cutting edge industry knowledge and being able to execute tasks with a great amount of detail will be crucial.
