Driving the OptumCare Risk & Growth / Risk Bearing Entity (RBE) platform buildout. Will focus on unification efforts with multiple Optum Care regions and markets and their senior management teams to drive common capabilities across claims, encounters, enrollment, EDI and contracting/credentialing and risk adjustment processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive Optum Care unification efforts across all markets and advance usage of common capabilities where necessary
  • Provide technology leadership and support for the continued growth and optimization of our RBE Platform
  • Understand business strategies and ensure business/technology strategies/plans are in alignment
  • Utilize information assets and manage divergent technologies effectively to produce innovative and cost effective enterprise-wide technology solutions
  • Ensure timely and effective communication and periodic reporting on the status and progress of strategic projects; participates on and/or chairs appropriate committees and teams to ensure effective technology adoption and implementation

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 15 + years of direct experience leading technology organizations
  • 10 + years of experience supporting healthcare organization
  • Experience with core healthcare domains including claims; credentialing; encounters; enrollment; and/or risk adjustment
  • 5 + years of Agile development experience
  • Track record of success integrating diverse organizations and leading performance improvement efforts
  • Excellent leadership skills in strategic planning and business and market development and operations
  • Proven ability to oversee large projects/programs that require problem identification, data synthesis, creation of options, recommendations, and implementation skills
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills
  • Understanding of innovative, cutting-edge technology and how to use it to improve business processes and operational effectiveness
  • Financial acumen and superior analytical abilities
  • Experience in Gaps in Care, Medical Management, Referral and/or Quality in the clinical integration space desired

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $169,500 to $322,500. The role is also eligible to participate in UHG's annual bonus and long-term incentive plans.
