We have the experience, the clinics, and the patients... now all we need is you!The Senior Accountant is responsible for completing the day-to-day general accounting processes and providing financial guidance and analysis for ADVENT to ensure accurate and timely recording and reporting of financial and statistical data in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounted Principles (GAAP), government regulations, and ADVENT's accounting policies. This role will work across departments to provide real-time support, financial information, tools, analysis, and insight to managers that will assist in decision-making to drive business strategy and financial growth.How You Will Contribute:Perform monthly closing procedures, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and statistical analysis.Prepare, review and analyze financial statements and reports, including comparison to budget and historical trends; monitor daily cash flow and prepare rolling 13-week cash forecasts.Prepare bank reconciliations.Support compensation and bonus calculations, including physician RVU bonuses. Create and maintain related supporting schedules.Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets and forecasts; review financial results with managers to identify variances from budget and forecast.Monitor and review invoices for compliance with sales, use tax regulations, and prepare sales and use tax returns.Prepare personal property tax returns.Assist with annual financial audit preparation.Coordinate 401(k) Plan audit and partner with HR to support the financial management of the 401k Plan, including preparation of contribution calculations, review of 5500 filings, etc.Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.Identify, propose and implement continual improvements to drive process efficiency, scalability and innovation within the scope of your work that enhances our ability to achieve the ADVENT vision.Support the overall success of the organization and perform other related duties as requested by leadership.Plan and adapt with business growth and strategy, cross-training where necessary to accommodate different situations and locations.Follow all legal and compliance requirements, including HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient privacy.What We're Looking For:5+ years experience in accountant position required; healthcare and public accounting experience preferred.Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.Solid understanding of GAAP principles required.Advanced Excel skills required, including the ability to create pivot tables, macros, and use of other advanced functions.Knowledge and/or working experience with NetSuite preferredHigh attention to detail, solid critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently to assess available information, draw conclusions and understandings, and present such conclusions effectively to other parties.Solid organization skills and the ability to prioritize and stay focused on assigned priorities, work independently to meet internal and external deadlines, and produce a consistently high-quality product.Solid communication skills and the ability to listen critically and interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.Demonstrated ability to contribute in a team environment, ability to show initiative, exercise judgment, and adapt to change.Customer focus, building trust, communication, critical thinking, and influencing skills.What's it like working at ADVENT?22 days of PTO (prorated your first year) & holiday payTop-notch health, dental, and vision insurance optionsGenerous employer-paid HRA account401k Contribution & Life InsuranceWe invest in YOU through company-sponsored trainings, continuing education opportunities, and helping you grow into your next career moveWe give back to our communities through charity workYou get to work with us - and we get to work with you!Be a part of a Milwaukee Best Places to Work TeamAt ADVENT, our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is at the core of our lived Values.
