Overview

The Loan Servicing Representative provides administrative and clerical support for all lending officers and personal bankers. Maintains customer loan documentation, handles customer reports and assists in servicing existing loan accounts.

Responsibilities

* Services loan customers' existing loan account relationships:
* Processes draw requests
* Takes payments
* Handles inquiries
* Assists the customer in signing documents
* Handles payoff requests
* Processes loan verifications
* Secures, maintains and releases collateral.
* Sets up/organizes consumer, commercial and home equity loans files for loan officers/personal bankers.
* Requests credit reports, title opinions, appraisals, flood certifications and abstract continuations.
* Responsible for incoming telephone calls: takes and relays messages, schedules appointments, provides customer service etc.
* Assists officers with compliance and policy requirements.
* Assists with the new loan process, including funding sheet review and submission of request to processing.
* Uses Microsoft Word to:
* Prepare letters and correspondence
* Prepare various notifications
* Type memos, emails, and various internal correspondence
* Reviews loan documents and reports to ensure integrity of data input/stored in Navigator (bank's mainframe system). May include note maintenance check back, file documentation reviews, CIP check back, HMDA or other compliance reviews.
* Inputs, updates, and reviews data/reports from the document imaging system. Requires frequent scanning. May perform quality control review of scanned documents.
* Monitor imaged loan files for missing and expired documentation.
* Designs, maintains, pulls and monitors reports and forms using Excel and Director.
* Works on other related projects as assigned by department officers which may include:

Research Spreadsheets Financial spreads

* May act as a notary public for the bank.
* Performs other duties in the market as assigned such as miscellaneous filing and back up for other loan operations support staff.
* Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in commercial or consumer banking preferred.
