Account Technician

Horizon Public Health is seeking applicants for a Full Time Account Technician to perform various accounting functions which will include third party and private pay medical billing.  Other functions could include accounts payable and receivable, payroll, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports and related work as apparent or assigned.

Minimum qualifications include an Associates/Technical degree with coursework in accounting, bookkeeping, administrative assistant skills, or related field and one to three years of experience working in accounting, bookkeeping, billing, payroll, office assistance.  Medical billing experience strongly preferred.  Successful applicant must pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug test. Must have valid MN driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation.

This is a Grade 7 MNA/AFSCME Council #65 union position, Step 1 $20.62/hour Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
