Job Summary
The Systems Engineer performs intermediate tasks as required for the support of Windows systems, software, and enterprise applications including cloud-based technology with an emphasis on Microsoft cloud technologies. This position demonstrates knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures for both server and desktop Windows operating systems. The Systems Engineer follows existing practices and procedures to solve problems and completes tasks of intermediate scope while seeking opportunities for process improvements.
This position can be hired as a I, II or Senior level role depending on experience. VMWare training will be provided for this role.

Essential Functions
- Resolves all assigned incidents, requests, and work orders in accordance to departmental Standard Level Agreements (SLA).
- Performs varied hardware and software related tasks and works on application problems of increasing scope and complexity.
- Troubleshoots a range of software and hardware problems leveraging knowledge and research while collaborating with more senior coworkers in support of Windows systems and enterprise applications, both on-premises and cloud-based.
- Packages, deploys, and supports software utilizing designated tools and methods.
- Performs necessary tasks, provides input, and communicates updates in support of assigned technical projects, contributing to the success of the project. Communicates with project team and direct leadership to report urgent or critical issues. Fosters and supports good working relationships with project managers and all project members. Provides relevant technical guidance within the confines of the project.
- Interacts with customers through various mediums to facilitate the fulfilment of services and resolution of problems. Provides excellent customer service at all times.
- Reviews and updates documents, procedures, and knowledge articles in accordance with departmental requirements and practices. Thoroughly documents closure of incidents including sufficient depth and detail for future reference. Creates documentation for intermediate practices and procedures following defined format.
