The HR Business Partner provides complex and confidential Human Resource services as a partner with and a support for the ACSC and SSI management team. Duties include management recruitment, hiring, orientation, resolution of day-to-day employment matters, pay and benefit set-up/communication, leave administration and recordkeeping. Provides support for miscellaneous human resources activities as deemed necessary by the Human Resources Manager and in line with the Company's mission to foster a workplace culture that attracts, develops and retains outstanding employees.

The principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Partner with the ACSC & SSI management teams to ensure priorities, practices and discussions involve focus on Company's mission, vision and values.
  • Posting, recruiting, hiring and onboarding activities of this position include collaboration with hiring managers/supervisors.
  • Functional area expert within HRIS system regarding HCM, Onboarding, Performance, Absence and Recruiting.
  • Administers the Company's relocation program within the established guidelines; works with job candidates on any exception requests, processes and approves relocation expense reports.
  • Works with the Human Resources Manager for final resolution on any special request.
  • Conducts exit interviews with terminating employees and summarizes information for further review.
  • Provides support in documentation, Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), EAP referrals and other needs.
  • Reviews and assists department managers on Company policies updates as requested and ensures appropriate communication regarding the policy changes.
  • Administers Company personnel records, ensuring inclusion of appropriate information within personnel files, medical files and other employee files.
  • Monitor state and federal employment law changes that may affect the Company's employee policies and recommends changes to the Human Resources Manager.
  • Ensures all locations have the current and legally required employment posters.
  • Collects, verifies and tracks compliance related information. Assists in internal and external communication of management new hires, job changes and promotions.
  • The HR Business Partner is accountable for timely maintenance of employee records on Workday, the PR/HR system, on a biweekly basis. This includes new employee set-up, rehire set-upand employee maintenance.
  • Manages the Leaves of Absence for the management staff. Works with employee and nurse in managing the process. Ensure timely and accurate entry in Company's HRIS system, Workday.
  • Provides an "open door" to employees for questions, concerns, & complaints and ensures timely, fair and consistent follow up. Responsible for gathering facts pertaining to employee relations issues such as workplace conflict, harassment or discrimination complaints.
  • Manages new hire orientation processes and ensures training and communication of policies and benefit plans.
  • Assist the Human Resource Manager with the coordination, scheduling and delivery of defined Management Training Sessions.
  • This position requires a general understanding of labor law including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
  • Completes other Human Resources activities and other duties as assigned. Matters of a complex nature are referred to the Human Resources Manager for further discussion and resolution.


Minimum Requirements

  • General knowledge of human resource business processes and practices, company pay and benefit programs, recruitment processes/procedures and employee relations.
  • These skills are typically gained through the completion of a two-year degree in human resources or related field with three to five years of human resources experience.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel applications, administrative abilities including time management with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization and maintain confidentiality are also important.
