SUMMARY:

Deliver quality sales support to Putzmeister dealers and end users. Support and facilitate Pipe Technology in daily coordination of sales order activity including parts identification, quoting, order entry and expediating orders. Additional responsibilities of assisting in market analysis, sales budgeting and scheduling. Frequent interactions via phone calls and emails with dealers and customers should be expected.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  1. Manage Pipe sales orders, credits and debit transactions.
  2. Ensures quality customer service support to dealers and end users calling in for support.
  3. Acknowledge customers' orders, advise customer on order changes, order status, prices, paint specifications, etc.
  4. Follow up on customer queries regarding replacements or adjustments.
  5. Manage dealer and customer requests for quotes and provide quotes as needed.
  6. Maintain files and records pertinent to the function.
  7. Assists production with scheduling Pipe Orders that are being processed to ensure customer expectations are met.
  8. Works with dealers and customers to forecast future pipe demand.
  9. Proactively call customers to grow pipe sales.
  10. Track lost sales to ensure competitiveness
  11. Review backorders and take ownership of follow-up and follow through of customer update communication.
  12. Minimum of 12 hours of training annually

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/certifications and/or experience required:

  • Mandatory safety training
  • On-the-job training
  • OSHA affected
  • 2+ Years with sales order administration experience required
  • 2+ Years' experience in customer service environment, desired
  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED

Professional knowledge and expertise required:

  • Familiarity with concrete pumping products, product applications, pricing procedures, and sales policies
  • Accurate, detail oriented and extremely organized and able to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal skills required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required

Language Skills:

  • Must possess good English language skills and be able to create written material using proper sentence structure and grammar.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally with all levels of organization.

Math Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Fluently works with the metric system.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Must be able to evaluate and address routine problems associated with daily activities.

Computer/ Software Skills and Experience:

  • Must be proficient in general Windows applications and MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
  • Experience with SAP helpful

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • No direct reports.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and use hands to finger, handle or touch; frequently required to push and pull.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a typical office or shop environment; occasionally exposed to noise, dust, and chemicals.
