Maintenance Technician- Direct Hire

Kelly, in partnership with a local growing manufacturer, is looking for two Direct Hire Maintenance Technicians in Racine, WI

These are direct hire opportunities meaning you will be hired on directly with our client and offered their competitive compensation and benefits package.

**Benefits:**

**Openings:**

+ 1st shift: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday

+ 2nd shift: flexible start time between 12 pm and 3 pm working an 8.5 hour shift with a 30 minute lunch break

+ Pay: $28 to $33 per hour

**Job Responsibilities:**

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Machine Repair/Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing duties to repair and maintain machinery, equipment, building and facilities requiring a broad knowledge of maintenance skills including mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, carpentry, fabrication and a basic knowledge of electrical repair.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**

+ **Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain** machinery and mechanical equipment used in production and related services.

+ **Diagnose machine malfunctions** and operating difficulties.

+ **Make repairs or adjustments** to keep equipment in production.

+ **Rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome** components and attachments to involve dismantling, inspection, machining or replacement of purchased parts.

+ **Perform skilled operations such as** filing and aligning bearings, spindles, and shafts; adjust feed and limit mechanisms, gibs, and ways.

+ **Perform various activities relative to the installation and relocation** of existing machines and equipment to involve dismantling, erection, leveling, fitting and aligning operations.

+ **Perform maintenance on the buildings** , facilities, and the grounds.

+ **Assist to determine the nature and scope** of forthcoming projects and the requirements for completion.

+ **Perform preventive maintenance** on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning units.

+ **Maintain required maintenance** logs and files.

+ **Perform routine housekeeping activities in the department** and ensure adherence to established safety procedures and requirements.

+ **Complete special projects** as assigned.

+ **Fabricates replacement components** with direction from managers/supervisors and/or team leaders in order to affect in-house repairs and/or modify machinery and equipment to improve efficiency.
