The Quality Assurance Technician is part of the Quality organization and critical to continuous improvement initiatives. The position is responsible for the Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) process for customer returns and continual improvements (Design & Manufacturing) of current products within the company.

Job Duties:
Under direction of Product Quality Engineers, this position will support the organization as follows.

???Failure analysis (diagnostics, troubleshooting) to determine root cause of reported failures.
???Draft written reports summarizing failure analysis results.
???Able to work with schematics, drawings, test equipment and computer software that may be needed to run diagnostics on returned product.
???Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers in the root cause analysis efforts.
???Recommend enhancements to the design, manufacturing, or suppliers when systemic issues are identified.

Qualifications:
???Technical School is required. Associate Degree in Electronic Engineering is a plus.
???Five years of experience working with electronic and mechanical products as a part of a quality system, design or support function.
???Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
???Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques is required, working with typical test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplier.
???Must conduct tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14001, etc.) as well as the companies policies and procedures, working cooperatively with all external and internal customers.
???Prior Experience with electro mechanical motors is a plus.
