Waste Water Technician ‏ (12 hour, nights)

YOUR ROLE

• Operates machines and production equipment safely in accordance with instructions
• Sets up or adjusts equipment according to manufacturing specifications
• Monitors the quality of output to identify or discard re-manufacture faulty products
• Maintains accurate daily production records so that manufacturing performance can be analyzed
• Operate DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation) and chemical treatment to reduce total suspended solids in effluent water
• Operate Belt Filter press for proper dewatering of solid sludge
  
• Complete daily inspections, sampling, record keeping and basic maintenance of area & equipment
  
• Responsible for area cleanliness, tool organization and general housekeeping to promote a clean and safe work environment using 5S Principles

YOUR SKILLS

• Specification of the necessary graduation and vocational training considering recent educational requirements which are needed to fulfil the above-mentioned tasks of the position
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Comprehends the minimum of work experience which has to be fulfilled by the incumbent according to necessary knowledge mentioned above
• The position is in the factory and could involve sitting, standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 55 pounds
• Must be able to reach, lift, bend and stoop without restrictions
• Good manual dexterity needed
• Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work
• This position requires exposure to typical manufacturing areas the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, and hygienic precautions, such as hairnets, are required
• The work environment is not climate controlled
• Noise level in the work environment can occasionally require hearing protection depending on location of work
• Willing to work any shift and overtime as required
