Noon Supervisor, Middle School

Position Purpose: To provide assistance for children during the lunch/recess program, wash and sanitize tables in the cafeteria and gym. This person must supervise children to insure a positive safe environment for children to play and socialize. 

Responsibilities:

• Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with colleagues, supervisors, and students. 
• Supervises students at playtime and lunchtime and maintains a harmonious atmosphere by encouraging peaceful resolution of conflicts. 
• Organizes group games and activities. 
• Assumes responsibility for play equipment. 
• Directs movement of groups to and from playground, lunchroom and classrooms in a safe and organized manner. 
• Assists students in lunchroom clean up. 
• Participates in all mandatory training or training appropriate to the position as required by the district. 
• Provides consistency for students through dependable attendance and punctuality for all shifts. 

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to walk, stand, and bend
• Must be able to speak and hear to communicate with children and staff
• Position may be indoors or outdoors as needed
