This position has ownership of World Kinect Energy Group North America natural gas scheduling, confirming, tracking, and reporting between pipelines, utility distribution companies and end use customers.

The Gas Operations team is critically important to our clients to assure their natural gas supplies are accurately ordered and scheduled to their customer locations.

The Natural Gas Scheduler II position is responsible for a variety of data management and analysis in support of our clients' energy needs. This position is responsible for the day-to-day activities of natural gas scheduling. This includes scheduling, confirming, tracking, and reporting the flow of natural gas, primarily between pipelines, local distribution companies and end use customers. These activities will also include interactions with interstate pipelines, suppliers, producers, and end use customers. The successful candidate will have experience and thorough knowledge of nominations and scheduling of gas volumes on a pipeline system. The candidate will also assist and take direction from the senior Gas Operations staff regarding solutions to pipeline scheduling issues and make recommendations based on experience. This position also impacts client retention as it is crucial to meet client risk management and supply reliability objectives.

Responsibilities

Responsible for processing client's daily volume requirements into nominations to interstate pipelines, local distribution companies and suppliers.
Responsible for the input of gas nominations activities into the gas management system.
Responsible for tracking the imbalance on pipeline and determine the proper course for resolution of imbalance which may require communication with pipelines, local distribution companies and suppliers.
Work with Supply & Trading team to ensure operational constraints are considered in nomination process.
Maintain records for all gas supply purchases, transportation, and sales for customers.
Contact counterparty gas scheduling representatives to exchange scheduling information for both daily and monthly transactions to ensure that all purchase and sale volumes are scheduled on a timely basis.
Responsible for tracking natural gas storage activities - this includes reconciliation to pipeline balance.
Position is responsible for on call coverage of nomination process on a rotating weekend basis. On call is as needed, but the normal schedule is every third weekend.
Pursue and maintain knowledge of pipeline tariffs, issues, and rate cases as required for our client base.
Execute capacity release transactions at the direction of management or Supply & Trading team personnel.
Provide additional client support as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (BS, BA,) Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Economics
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the Natural Gas market with an operations background.
Prior scheduling experience with Texas interstate pipelines Tejas and or Atmos is preferred.
Good interpersonal skills to gain cooperation and develop teamwork.
Must demonstrate effective working relationships with employees and customers.
Have a strong work ethic, ability to multi-task, with a sense of urgency.
Demonstrate a willingness to provide mentoring and training to co-workers.
Must be open to occasional travel to visit clients, counterparts, and participate in industry trade functions.
Position regularly works additional hours during the week or on weekends and evenings; responsibilities of position may require telephone contact at unusual hours. Requirement is to the extent that there is some intrusion into personal or family life
