Overview:
As a member of the Shared Clinical Services team, the Department Business Coordinator uses strong customer service, organization, project management and Microsoft office skills and knowledge to anticipate business needs and provide day-to-day operational support in assigned areas. This may include project coordination, data collection and reporting, administrative support and budget management.
This position may also be involved in meeting coordination and facilitation as assigned.
Responsibilities/Job Description:
Using exceptional collaboration, presentation, communication and organizational skills:
Create and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, acting as a liaison between operational units to accomplish organizational goals and objectives
Use available technology to provide day-to-day operational support to assigned area
Manage data collection, budgeting and recordkeeping to meet compliance, regulatory or operational needs
Assure stakeholders are kept informed and are included in the preparation for any planned changes in services, programs, processes and systems as assigned.
Assist in managing projects through entire life cycle: Initiation, Planning, Execution and Closure
Organization Expectations:
Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served Partners with patient care giver in care/decision making.
Communicates in a respective manner.
Ensures a safe, secure environment.
Individualizes plan of care to meet patient needs.
Modifies clinical interventions based on population served.
Provides patient education based on as assessment of learning needs of patient/care giver.
Qualifications:
Required
Education
Bachelors' degree in business, healthcare, pharmacy or other related subject or the equivalent of a combination of 6 years education and/or experience.
Experience
Two years administrative or office management experience using available Microsoft Office to provide day-to-day administrative support
License/Certification/Registration
For employees working in a Pharmacy site only: Must be nationally certified within 12 months of hire.
Preferred
Experience
Three years' experience managing multiple projects and priorities including coordinating day-to-day business operations.
