SMS Expert (Remote)
We are a small yet passionate team and we are looking for a SMS Expert (Messaging Engineer) to join our ranks.
In this role you will work with our team to ensure that when a SMS message is sent that it reaches it's intended target as quickly as possible and be complian to any messaging rules and regulations.
This is a 100% remote position. However, if you are open to relocating to Tulsa, OK, we do offer generous relocation assistance.
What You Will Be Doing
In this role you will work with our team of engineers to maintain the stability and compliance of messaging engines across several protocols (including HTTP and SMPP). You will construct systems that support high throughput and high load to filter out invalid phone numbers, unsubscribed contacts, blocked words and phrases within messages, and invalid content media sent along with messages. You will also build monitoring tools around traffic. This might include sampling network traffic for penetration testing, building infrastructure around rate-limiting per client, and monitoring tier one carrier blocking patterns.
What You Need for this Position
We offer a salary in the $95K - $120K plus performance bonuses and equity

What You Need for this Position
- 4-5+ years experience working in SMS
- Experience in the telecom messaging industry
- Experience working with HTTP and SMPP protocols
- 1-2+ years of experience using Linux (Ubuntu)
- Familiarity with AWS and popular AWS services such as Elastic Beanstalk, S3, RDS, SQS, Lambda.
- Familiarity with testing standards and QA processes.
- Experience with the Agile methodology.
- Knowledge of Go/Rust
- Familiarity with statistics and patterns of data representation
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms for spam/anomaly detection
