SUMMARY: We're looking for a Sanitation Tech to join our fast-growing food manufacturing company. Reporting to the QA Manager this person will help to ensure the quality of our product and safety of our employees through maintaining a clean plant and working with the production team on any production or sanitation needs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sanitation schedules.
• Sanitize coolers, freezers, kitchens, sinks, restrooms, break-rooms, and machinery throughout the plant.
• Foam, scrape, and scrub various production equipment, floors, walls, ceilings, etc.
• Wash and sanitize equipment, pans, racks, molds, utensils, etc.
• Keep plant organized and stocked including machines, tools, other equipment, and materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels of sanitation related equipment and supplies.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and remove trash/ recycling
• Properly operate floor scrubbing equipment
• Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sanitation logs and checklists
• Follow and understand plant color codes
• Understand and promote Miller Baking's Quality Management Systems including SQF, HACCP, and GMPs to ensure safety and quality of employees and products.

• Other duties as assigned

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Previous experience in a plant production environment and/or in drug, food, or beverage manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Must have basic oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of chemical dilution and ratios.
• Ability to lift and up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
• Must be able to work at high elevations with assistance from ladders, single-person lifts, and/or scissors lift
• Operate powered and non-powered industrial hand trucks
• Available for shift rotation or flexible shift rotation schedule as required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• This job operates in both a professional office environment as well as plant floor with varying temperatures.
• This role routinely uses standard cleaning equipment including machinery and chemical products.
• While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing in environments with varied temperatures. This position requires frequent pulling, carrying, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• This position requires flexibility to support multiple production shifts including weekends and holidays.
