Bi-County Community Action Programs, Inc. (BI-CAP) is seeking a Housing Energy Auditor for its Weatherization Program in Bemidji, MN.
The Housing Energy Auditor assists in the delivery of all BI-CAP’s weatherization program and conducts home inspections in residential homes, entering attics, basements, crawl spaces, and living spaces. Physical aspects of the job include moderate work involving crawling, lifting, carrying, climbing and kneeling. Successful candidate will need the ability to work in tight spaces and on ladders, as well as in adverse weather.
The position will manage contractors to install energy upgrades and will coordinate bids and repairs. Candidate will write highly-detailed job specifications and project budget estimates.
This position will help educate and empower low-income clients on energy usage; act as a referral source for other client-eligible programs; and assist with evaluation and follow-up on client services.
Requirements: Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; and a valid Minnesota driver’s license.
Must have at least one year experience in construction, energy audits, home repair, HVAC or building inspections. Proficient computer skills needed in Word and Excel. BPI certification is a plus.

Full time, 40 hours/week, $20.84/hr, with benefits.
