Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop RESTful APIs, microservices and application integrations by leveraging Kafka streaming tech stack
• Work with public cloud migrations and solutions
• Analyze all requirements and maintain all architecture business systems and documents
• Embrace solutions focused on modernization, enablement, and engineering tooling
• Create quick working proof of concepts to validate and formalize solutions and design
• Own the overall technical design and direction of the developed product
• Bring innovative ideas to help continuously improve the Optum product portfolio including the design, build, deploy, test and runtime within cloud ecosystems
• Participate in debugging and performance tuning in a high-performance cloud platform
• A great attitude and the passion and persistence to solve complex problems
• Analyze metrics and measure effectiveness of programs and return of investment goals

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience building and shipping production web enabled software in a scaled distributed environment
• 3+ years of Java experience (preferably java 8+)
• 3+ years of experience implementing RESTful microservices
• 3+ years working with git version control
• 3+ years of experience with Automated Unit Testing and Integration Testing
• Hands on development using container virtualization utilizing Docker and CICD using Jenkins
• Hands on development experience using UI framework
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Deployment Strategies

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
