OVERVIEW General Mills is currently looking to hire two Senior Finance Managers to support our North American Retail Segment. Senior Financial Managers directly support their respective business partners to deliver short and long-term business results across their managed brands and categories or centralized marketing budgets. The support will include brand/category/investment lever strategy development, P&L management and business model support. In addition, the Sr. Manager will assist the Director of Financial Operations (DFO) in organizational leadership. A successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative, dynamic work environment. They will be energized by working with many cross-functional partners and be comfortable managing matrixed relationships. They will have the ability to collaborate with business partners to drive in market performance while maintaining strong financial controls. These roles provide significant autonomy and decision making authority. Experience in this role will strengthen an individual's skills in the following key areas: commercial acumen, planning and analysis, strategic business model leadership, people management, and operational excellence. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Partner with Key Business Partners to develop business strategies and drive business goals Develop short and long-term financial plans to deliver targets and enable competitiveness in the marketplace Deliver forecast accuracy through deep involvement and leadership in the planning cycle Prepare insightful, forward-looking financial modeling and return on investment analysis to influence business decisions and deliver value Partner with Key Business Partners to prioritize spending across multiple spending levers in the P&L Lead team direct reports and actively engage in leadership of Finance function MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field Years of work experience: 7+ Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders to act (via effective communication and presentation to partner for impact) Demonstrated ability to Manage Matrixed Relationships Demonstrated ability to be proactive, respond quickly, smoothly adjust to changes (Situational Agility) Identify and extract the right data from financial systems to provide meaningful analysis (Analytic Proficiency) Able to establish processes, make process improvements, effectively organize own work (Process Excellence) Track record of exercising fiduciary responsibility, being accurate and detail oriented (Risk Management) Previous experience developing team members Comfort with navigating ambiguity, thrives in a collaborative, dynamic work environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting Prior experience or exposure to commercial finance roles Experience in planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting leveraging our PEAK Processes Advanced Education: Master of Business Administration (MBA) Professional Certification (CPA, CMA, CFA) COMPANY OVERVIEW We exist to make food the world loves.
