Job Details
STARTING DATE: Approximately December 1, 2021
RESPONSIBILITIES: Activities related to teaching and learning including but not limited to:
* Instruct courses in nursing in classroom and clinical setting
* Instructional facilitation
* Assessment of student performance
* Advising
* Skills lab and simulation management
* Participation in accreditation process
* Interpersonal relations, effective team member skills
* Maintenance of professional skills and credentials
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
Education Requirement
* Master's degree with a major in nursing, nursing administration, nursing education, public health nursing or a nursing clinical specialty.
Occupational Experience Requirement
Four full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience as a registered nurse.
Recency Requirement
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Professional Requirement
Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Preferred:
* Demonstrated skill in curriculum development
* Nursing simulation experience
* Broad spectrum of nursing experience
* Experience working with licensed practical nurses and/or associate degree or registered nurses
* Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills
* Demonstrated computer technology and software proficiency
* Experience in teaching/training
