PSE is looking for a full-time Industrial Electrical Engineering Manager to join our highly collaborative team. Plan, coordinate, and manage the Industrial Electrical Engineering Department and work as a Senior project engineer/manager on various electrical projects with industrial and commercial clients. Must have a good understanding of electrical power distribution, grounding, lighting, and control systems, for a variety of project types, including oil refineries, ethanol plants, bulk liquid, and dry fertilizer facilities, chemical storage and distribution facilities, grain handling terminals, feed mills, and other agricultural and energy infrastructure projects. Responsible for planning engineering projects and overseeing the efficient running of projects, including providing supervision and guidance to other team members while acting as a liaison to the department Vice President.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Industrial Electrical Engineering team, including but not limited to mentoring less experienced engineers and designers in performing engineering design services to Industrial and Commercial clients.
  • Supervise client projects and direct the staff involved in the projects to include coordinating activities between clients, utilities, permitting agencies, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Manage and perform arc flash and coordination studies, system protection studies, power quality studies, and energy audits for Industrial and Commercial clients.
  • Assist in business development strategies to grow client base.
  • Work closely with the department's Vice President to develop department plans and resources, including budgetary estimates, developing engineering proposals, and writing technical specifications and RFPs.
  • Assist in the departments employ life cycle: hiring, training, promotions, transfers, departures
  • Serve as a Senior Engineer/Project Manager on key projects
  • Assist in the planning, pricing, estimating, and scope for proposed client projects
  • Based on client requirements, determine and develop reports, specifications, drawings, designs, instructions, and related documents using software and equipment
  • Assist in preparation or make occasional presentations at various industry conferences and client sites.
  • Collaborate with other PSE team members to improve efficiency and work product.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering
  • A minimum of three years of management experience
  • PE (Professional Engineer) Licensure is required, and willingness to get licensed in additional States.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.


Knowledge and Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical system analysis software
  • Strong knowledge of applicable NFPA, ASHRAE, and ANSI standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize work and resources
  • Extremely organized and meticulous with details
  • Ability to work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
