Cambria is looking for someone who can effectively structure, evolve, and grow the in-house promotional marketing department by purchasing and branding seasonal apparel, merchandise and gift collections for employees and business partners.


Create fashion-forward and compelling assortments with the objective of appealing to employees, business partners and relevant stakeholders to wear and use Cambria branded apparel and merchandise. Overarching goal of the division is to promote our brand and increase awareness and visibility in the marketplace.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Own retail vision, strategy and plan for branded merchandise for employees, business partners and company initiatives. For example, get creative and produce "fashion shows" to promote new apparel collections to employees and business partners 2x per year using employees as "models."
  • Oversee the development and procurement of new merchandise while managing the existing merchandise to increase interest both internally and externally as well as to maximize sales and generate interest in the brand.
  • Track monthly sales and report on data/trends. Make projections based on historical data.
  • Introduce new vendor and/or supplier relationships, ensure existing relationships are operating at high service levels with optimum terms and conditions.
  • Stay current with the latest trends within fashion and home design/gift industries - attend sourcing, packaging and design/gift/promotional trade shows.
  • Build and ensure high-quality photography assets of the products for web, social, email and internal usage by working side-by-side with the creative department and the in-house photographer/stylist.
  • Manage company store inventories/merchandise/sales on a regular basis and report results monthly. Meet with the financial team on a monthly basis.
  • Organize and promote corporate office sale events throughout the year to control inventory levels and create excitement.
  • Sell Cambria merchandise at key local pop-up shops, events and seasonal selling opportunities throughout the year.
  • Maintain stock and displays as well as create merchandising plans for Cambria-owned Galleries and Distribution Centers throughout the country with the responsibility of training employees to sell merchandise.
  • Work with key stakeholders on gifting opportunities for Cambria apparel and merchandise both internally and externally.
  • Maintain and continually update employee onboarding gifting program.
  • Effectively hire, train, develop, and mentor existing and future retail team staff.
  • Source and create fashion-forward branded merchandise for Cambria sales and marketing department initiatives such as Camp Cambria, Sanford International etc.
  • Manage and design cost-effective, brand-appropriate uniform programs for business partners in the US and Canada and employees
  • Work closely with IT and creative teams to provide input on design, layout and functionality of the online retail store website (Shopify).
  • Support and maintain the website, which includes metadata maintenance and system operations.
  • Maintain and monitor online CambriaUSA.com store inventories and oversee buying decisions using past data to inform future decisions.
  • Work closely with the internal communications department to promote new merchandise, sales, uniform programs and the like to employees and business partners.
  • Meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality and goal accomplishment through the performance management process


Requirements:

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong trusting relationships with business partners, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Strong negotiation skills -- able to work closely with vendors to obtain best possible pricing as well as seek out new vendors/brands to bring into the collection.
  • Keen eye and interest for fashion and style, high-level aesthetic, understanding about building brand identity through the company's logo apparel and merchandise.
  • Experience reading and understanding key data, financial information, budgets, P&L statements
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify areas of change, recommend future action, and manage implementation.
  • Solid project management skills with ability to see things through to completion.
  • A positive, can-do approach, one that wants to test new initiatives and seeks continual improvement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy environment.
  • Strong process and project management skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and influence your direct reports.



Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Retail Marketing, Marketing, Product Design, Merchandise Buying, Business or similar field.
  • Experience: 7-10 years of experience in the promotional marketing retail field, retail buying, or promotional product management. Previous people management experience is preferred.
  • Systems: Google Suite, Microsoft Suites, Oracle and InDesign or experience with Shopify a plus.


Additional Requirements:

  • Travel Requirements: 20% to trade shows and other as needed.
  • Physical Requirements: This is an office position requiring phone and computer use. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds for displays, samples and other marketing materials that may be needed for events.
