Central Valley Health District is hiring for a full-time Environmental Health Specialist. This position is responsible for educating the regulated public and enforcing health and sanitation regulations for the following areas: Aquatic, Body Art, Food Service, On-site Sewage Treatment Systems and Tanning along with other environmental health related work
A successful candidate must have a BS degree in an accredited environmental health curriculum or a BS degree or MS in the physical, chemical or biological sciences, including at least 30 semester or 45 quarter credits in the physical, chemical or biological science. This candidate must be in possession of a valid driver's license. The candidate must have, or the ability to obtain, a ND Environmental Health Practitioner's license within 60 days of date of hire. Also the candidate must complete the Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS/RS) credential with the National Environmental Health Association within 5 years of date of hire.
This position has excellent benefits including fully paid health insurance and NDPERS retirement.
