General Summary
The Office Manager/OA is responsible for plant personnel matters, compliance with HR government and corporate regulations, compliance with accounting policies, and for planning, directing and coordinating the administrative office functions.

The Office Manager/OA is responsible for plant personnel matters, compliance with HR government and corporate regulations, compliance with accounting policies, and for planning, directing and coordinating the administrative office functions.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities
- Works closely with plant management to assist with their staffing needs o Posting jobs and screening applicants o Managing temporary agencies and employees o Compliance with pre-employment drug test screening
- Oversees new hire and orientation process.
- Ensures all new hires have access to the Employee Self Service system and complete their benefits enrollment.
- Ensures employees have access to IPay to view and print their paystubs.
- Ensures time and attendance system is accurate, and submits hours to the Payroll department on-time for processing.
- Identify, research, and resolve Administrative problems and opportunities
- Assist/troubleshoot Accounting functions in accordance with established procedures and Company policy
- Cross train and fill in as necessary for Admin Personnel
- Review Internal Control Checklist with Management
- Ensures the plant complies with Federal, State and Company personnel laws and regulations, and HR policies and practices
- Distributes and post communication pieces and materials throughout the office and the plant as necessary * Ensures the plant provides HR support to and assistance to employees
- Prepare and project cash flows and requirements
- Ensures all personnel documents are scanned into OnBase to be filed on the employee's personnel file
- Completes special projects as needed.
- Performs other duties as required
Requirements
Knowledge Required
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in administration, business or related area, or equivalent experience
- Minimum one to three years of experience in office administration or related areas.
- Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer and business related software, including Microsoft applications (excel, word and Outlook)
- Working knowledge of various office equipment (computer terminal, scanner, etc)
Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking
- Proficiency in the use of business math
- Ability to understand accounting and financial data
- Ability to maintain and safeguard confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to successfully communicate with all organizational levels
- Ability to communicate clearly via phone and email with plant administrators and co-workers
- Ability to work hours mandated by management
- Ability to pass a drug test
