Production Manager

The Production Manager is responsible for all aspects of operations in their Focus Factory, including the management of Production, Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain functions in this area.

Responsibilities:

Promotes a safe working environment, comply with proper use of PPE, reports incidents, and participates in functional department safety meetings.
Responsible for the safe and cost effective manufacture/assembly of products, which meet or exceed customer quality and delivery requirements.
Oversee 24/7 production environment in accordance with GMP & QSR requirements with a strong focus on safety.
Is a proven leader who set expectations & evaluates the performance of their team members.
Understand and execute role as leader of production and role as a leader of the site leadership team. Complete other related projects as assigned.
Lead WCM program for their area and work with other teams to improve plant performance.
Mentor and coach team members.
Serve as back up plant manager when necessary.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Operations Management required; Master's degree in Operations or Business preferred.
5+ years' experience in supervision of production employees in a manufacturing environment.
3+ years' of experience in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical production (and ISO 13485 or
FDA 21 CFR part 820 experience) preferred
Has knowledge of materials and inventory control practices, production scheduling, and engineering in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in an ISO environment and with WCM or Six Sigma programs.
Proficient in use of computers and spreadsheet software with experience with business systems (QAD, Kronos, Microsoft Office), and other computer hardware and software.
Has the ability to manage performance, leadership skills, initiative, strong organizational and decision-making skills, team building and motivating skills, and a high degree of customer orientation.
