This position provides support for all facility and equipment critical systems at Molecular and Cellular Therapeutics (MCT). This position is responsible for coordinating the maintenance and repair of all HVAC building systems; various building control systems; calibration and equipment maintenance activities, which contribute to the development of product, process, equipment qualification and validation for biopharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing. This position works closely with Operations in a Bio-Technical FDA regulated manufacturing environment, Quality Assurance and the Product Development Team.

Major Responsibilities
  • Monitor, coordinate & schedule repairs, calibrations & validations
  • Knowledge of - Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, low voltage electrical systems, refrigerators, freezers, ultra-low freezers, Liquid Nitrogen Systems (LN2), medical air compressor and all other building equipment
  • HVAC trouble shooting
  • Initiate and maintain documentation records for all of the building systems and equipment within the facility
  • Interface with vendors and University Facilities Management staff
  • Perform on & offsite building automation and data acquisition modifications as needed during off hours, weekends and holidays
  • Shared on call 24/7/365 via mobile phone and PC
  • Equipment & HVAC monitoring, Data Acquisition components
  • Knowledge of refrigeration and system components
  • Document repairs to the various building systems & equipment
  • Knowledge of Clean Room systems and common labs


Equipment/Facility Systems Critical Skills
  • Ability to use, Calibration Software (CMS)
  • Understand and Interpret, Mechanical, Structural & Architectural Blue Prints
  • Preform Temperature mapping and protocol design
  • Ability to design & fabricate customized items needed to support specialized equipment needs of MCT tenants equipment, if requested
  • Knowledge of all types of Laboratory Equipment
  • Environmental Monitoring Equipment (EM) set up and management


Knowledge of the following Data Acquisition Components
  • Analog and Digital connections
  • Analog input calibration
  • Transmitter installation
  • Hardwired Jack installation
  • Software channel creation in system


Other helpful knowledge
  • SQL and application server stewardship
  • UPS maintenance & testing
  • Ability to write SOP's, equipment specifications, and IQ.OQ's for equipment
  • Basic knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller's (PLC's) & programming

Salary Range: $31.71 - $34.48

Qualifications

All required qualifications must be documented on application materials.

Required Qualifications
  • High school graduate
  • Completion of a 2 year Technical College in electronics field
  • 2 years' experience working with building systems including (HVAC) building automation system electrical, plumbing, low voltage electric, etc.
  • 2 years' experience in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing facility
  • Equivalent relevant education and/or experience totaling 4 years may be substituted.
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills, highly organized detail oriented, able to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of FDA GMP regulations
  • Knowledge of regulations relating to ISO clean Room manufacturing
