What you will do

He/she will create and lead communications for employees in the Fire Protection business within Building Solutions North America (BSNA). This role is imperative to driving understanding of, and engagement, into the business strategy for growth across the Fire Protection business, supporting change management through communications and increasing our organizational health and culture scores. You will be instrumental in the planning, creation and execution of strategic communications to the business, and will serve as the key communications partner to our Fire Protection leadership team.

Your broad knowledge of effective communication messaging and channel strategy measurement and advanced knowledge of specific technical/operational practices applied to a variety of projects will make you a successful candidate. Working with the wider communications team, you will strive to continually evaluate and improve our resources and communication vehicles for all employees, while bringing new and innovative ideas to the table.

How you will do it

* Support business and functional leaders in creating communications that drive employee engagement and business/strategy understanding.
* Act as communications coach and business partner to Fire Protection leadership team, providing guidance, support, and best practices.
* Partner with key contacts to deliver impactful change communications and approach that drive adoption of new products, tools, processes, and mindsets.
* Leverage communications to drive organizational health and support action plans as an outcome of employee survey results.
* Create engaging, creative, interactive and targeted communications that align with our business goals.
* Collaborate with marketing communications, public relations and digital teams to leverage existing content.
* Oversee processes and protocol to ensure accurate dissemination of information.
* Create a disciplined approach to communications - driving consistency in communications processes, including measuring effectiveness and driving strategic adjustments based on results.
* Aid in the creation, editing and proofreading of materials to support execution of communications plans and associated materials related to Fire Protection sales, install and service, as well as various functions (HR, Finance, Legal, etc.).
* Coordinate distribution and tracking of communications to build appropriate audience profiles, and ensure timely delivery and follow-up with key audiences.
* Publish content on communication vehicles (Intranet, newsletters, email, video, podcasts, social, etc.) to ensure on-time, accurate delivery of messages.

What we look for

Required

* Bachelor's Degree in a business-related discipline.
* Minimum 5-8 years in corporate business/employee communications, with demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills across a variety of creative formats.
* Confidence and maturity to interact with all levels of the organization with the ability to maintain confidential or sensitive information, as well as influence with and without authority.
* Able to tailor messages to various employee audiences using appropriate tone, and nuance and level of information.
* Able to quickly gather and synthesize information from a variety of sources.
* Aptitude for translating complex topics and issues into broadly understandable messages to employees.
* Strong project management skills and ability to multitask.
