JOB PURPOSE:

Connect dots with ease. Tell stories with empathy. Manage projects with expertise. You create unforgettable, unmissable internal communications. On top of that, you lead the strategy and change management process while making sure stakeholder feedback is incorporated.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

* Develop and drive communications that engage team members and align with company's Vision, Mission and Values, Leadership Success Drivers, Voice & Tone and Key Message Platform.
* Build strong relationships with team members across the organization, collaborating to inform, educate and celebrate.
* Demonstrate curiosity by developing broad knowledge about the company and what's happening throughout it.
* Source, write, edit and publish communications for internal channels that are accurate, relevant and relatable.
* Build on internal communications strategy that has long-term impact and aligns with company's growth initiatives.
* Manage projects while juggling competing priorities with exceptional organization.
* Gather measurable data and report communication effectiveness. Incorporate audience insights.
* Provide constructive feedback on executive communications.
* Follow and serve as a role model in displaying Midco's Values and Leadership Success Drivers.
* Adhere to Midco's privacy guidelines to ensure each customer's privacy.
* Maintain regular attendance as required by your position.
* Be available to help team members outside of normal business hours as necessary.

* Effectively communicate with other departments to handle escalating issues in a timely manner.
* Support Midco's Vision, Mission and Values.
* Collaborate effectively with internal and external customers to ensure exceptional service.
* Demonstrate courage by tackling tough issues while acknowledging own limitations without compromising integrity.
* Remove obstacles for team members. Encourage creative solutions.
* Apply personal ethics, honesty, initiative, flexibility, responsibility and confidentiality in all areas of responsibility.
* Communicate clear expectations that set a high bar while holding team members accountable to reach these goals.
* Demonstrate business acumen by using data to drive decisions and actions.
* Model flexibility, resiliency and change management skills by staying self-aware, constantly learning, and
* finding ways to cut through ambiguous problems.
* Identify root causes of problems and implement solutions while keeping a holistic and long-term perspective in mind.
* Actively follow Midco policies and procedures.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

* A BA in journalism, communications, public relations or marketing required.
* 5+ years communications experience (internal communications experience preferred).
* Strong empathy: listen carefully and be inclusive in all communications.
* Experience managing multiple communications projects under deadline preferred.
* Experience managing a corporate intranet preferred.
* Experience using design tools and brand standards preferred.
* Experience working with senior leaders and the confidence to challenge and guide messages they deliver.
* Experience using SharePoint and Webex helpful.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL & MENTAL QUALIFICATOINS:

* The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
* The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
* Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
